My Story

I am running the Barcelona Marathon in March 2025 to raise money for Action Pulmonary Fibrosis. If you feel you can... please sponsor me x

My friend's mum, Lesley Berry, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis suddenly and unexpectedly 4 years ago at the age of 70, after a year of increased breathlessness and a persistent cough. Prior to this she had been fit and active. It has been devastating for her and her family. 

Every year in the UK, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis kills more people than leukaemia or ovarian cancer and yet many people have never heard of it. We need more research and understanding of this awful disease.

Lesley is keen to share her story, to raise awareness and to raise money to fund more research into prevention, early diagnosis and treatment.

I really want to support Lesley and her family, so I have decided to run the Barcelona Marathon in March 2025 together with Fi Coe, Kate Wooldridge and many more of AirborneFit for this fantastic charity.
